these have a reputation of being short lived and i can recall one particular specimen literally flowered itself to death. A spectacular and peculiar tree. the seeds in the pods are poisonous.

Hi Michael,
We have a tree of this in Warrenstown college which is about 40 years old and continues to show all three flowering types but it varies with the years and I have seen some which have reverted to one or other of the 'parent' plants.
