My sister moved into a house in Febuary this year, she went to cut the grass in March but the lawnmower broke, she is going to get it fixed tomorrow. The grass and weeds are about 3 ft high. What would be the best way to tackle this meadow?
I suggested using a strimmer on it first to cut down low before using the lawn mower, would this be the best course of action?
Thanks in advance: Lucyloo |

a good rotary mower which flattens the grass as it goes should do the job then in a few days go at it again doing the same thing.
start with blades at the highest and gradually lower the height. allow the mowings to drop off as a mulch do not collect the mowings. your lawn should be normal in a month.

Thanks Michael, I have a good petrol mower, would that be alright to use, just without the grass box? |
