My first rose to flower did so during the week (12 May 09) - it was Gloire de Dijon. This also happens to be my favourite rose of the 70 I have - so maybe I gave it a bit more attention than the others.
Which of your roses was first to flower this year and when?

My first was a climbing Arthur Bell. It had a rose out (believe it or not) on the 23rd March. But it really came into full flower the first week of May. There are over fifty big yellow sherbert-scented blossoms on it now. I planted it three years ago at the base of a Mountain Ash - at first glance you'd swear it was the tree that's blooming! Smile
