Where should i plant my lettuce plants, which family of plants do they belong to, in a crop rottation system ?

the lettuce does not belong to any of the major plant families like brassicas(cabbages), aliums(onions) , leguminosae(peas), Solanacae(Potatoes), so there is no conflict as regards place in rotation but at all times try to avoid planting lettuce where lettuce was in the past year or two. A good place to plant them is in a plot that got a dressing of manure such as potatoes or cabbage.

Thank you Michale i thought it was brassica being green leafed but looked up lists of brassicas and they were not on it, most helpfull
