This is growing wild on a ditch near me and I would love to grow it on the ditch in front of my house.
It has a dark green, glossy leaf and a beautiful purple/bue flower
Does anybody know what it is called?
How would I go about making it grow from a slip and when I should go about it?
Thanks _________________ Learner Gardener Alert~apologies in advance! |

It looks like a Vinca to me.....dead easy if it is. If you look around the roots of the plant growing wild, you should find lots of shoots that can be easily separated and popped into a pot of compost, without harming the parent plant.
It's a great ground cover plant. |

this is lesser periwinkle vinca minor, can be propagated by root cuttings or dividing the plant in winter early spring. there are many cultivated forms available at your garden centre.
