Hi Metro 17
A blank canvas garden.... sounds exciting. A pencil and paper will be a great addition to the garden, you can get scribbling down lots of ideas.
The lawmower sounds handy though, especially if it's all lawn at the moment. Hope you got a good one
I enjoyed looking at Cork City this week on Corrigan's city farm which is a series looking at starting allotment schemes on RTE..... Now there's an idea....
Welcome
Ian

Hi
You are right. The hotel in the picture is derelict and was earmarked for a majr development of holiday flats.... not much building going off now so it will stay a landmark for a while yet. The Gateway is just up the road.
It just so happens I was at the Gateway recently... Here's a nice one of the settee and lamp....I'll bet it brings back loads of fond memories.!
I also have some photo's of the curtains..........It's a long story......

Welcome in Metro17.
Be the hokey the people's republic is getting a great welcome in today from the independent republic of Inishowen. You should show off a bit of East Cork when you have a bit of time and get organised. Was it Jimmy McCarthy wrote "I could have lived my life between Cork, Cobh and Youghal"? BTW, I just lurve your avatar. I presume you don't actually admit to being potty? Mine is a musical paws cause I hafta leave down me banjo whenever I want to get any gardening done.
Ian. Blessings to Inishowen. I've just been looking at the picture of the Buncrana denizens. I recognise facial features all over the gathering. Just how many of them are Doherty's?
