Some of you may remember my thread from last July on the collared doves nesting successfully on my balcony. Well I'm happy to report they have nested again Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Last Saturday morning (the 18th of April) they started to build a nest in a flower basket which is attached to my balcony railing.

As I was off to Mayo for the weekend I had to leave them at it and couldn't watch the activity.
Last Tuesday morning I noticed 1 egg in the nest. I have not had a chance yet to see if there was another one laid.
They were rather clever this time as they nested under the overhang from the flower box they nested on last year, so they should not get too wet Smile

Taken on April 21st: One egg in the nest.

How wonderful....and how clever of the birds too. Anything that puts a broad smile on my face these days is really welcome.
Thanks for the photos, Sundew, and enjoy!

Thanks Sive Very Happy

Only problem is I had planned to tidy up my balcony and replant all my window boxes. Guess it will have to wait for a few more weeks Laughing
