Hi folks any thoughts on whether it is ok to put grass clippings aroud the base of a 3ft high beech hedge, both to feed the hedge and prevent weeds rgds james.

Should be OK as a mulch as long as you haven't been using things like weed and feed on it yet.

Spread all along the base but try to keep it away from direct contact with the stems base though. That stuff can get very sticky and wet so I would fear any damage to the bark.
