| I'm planting a garden for the first time up in the northwest, I'll plant around mid-April, but then I need to leave on business and won't be back until mid May. Would this work? or will i need to tend the garden as things pop up? |

It'll work, but your gonna have a lot of weeding to do when you get back. Growth for weeds and gerniation for weed seeds are at a high during that time, just as it is with your veggies. Shouldn't be a disaster though, just a lot of push hoeing between rows and hand-weeding in the rows.

I think this one will speak for itself if you click on it. I really would never have expected you could do so much depredation with such a simple device. Goes to show what a ham-fisted ignoramus can do when he moves up from hand-weeding ans simple scuffling.

Anyone got a similar weeding experience to share while the figs ripen? _________________ I'm a retired trouble-maker who makes ends meet by burning the candle at both ends. |
