Recently my dad was cutting the hedge betwwen our house and our neighbours, forgetting of course that it was the wrong time of year to be cutting them.
Anyway he came across a small nest with two small light blue eggs with black speckles on them could anyone tell me what type of bird these eggs belong to and if the bird will return to the nest? _________________ "Press any key to continue, where's the any key?" - Homer |

A thrush nest possibly mojorex. As long as the nest or eggs have not been moved or handled too much there is a good chance the bird will return. Another big factor will be how exposed the hedge cutting has left the nest, as this provides less coverage for the mother bird and leaves the eggs open to predators.
This is one to leave in the hands of mother nature and see what she does with it.
Even though you knew already mojorex, here is a handy article to help other readers, Hedge laws in Ireland, Legal requirements for hedge cutting. _________________ How to post pics on the forum.
