I bought my house in sept 2006. the back gaden at one stage had been a fine garden but was now overgrown badly. The path down the left hand side was blocked by overgrown bushes. I bought a shredder and over the next 15 months started to clear but it was obvious that a blitz was required. Soin april 08 I attacked it with some help and filled 3 skips with bushes and rubbish. we then brought in 4 tonne of stone and about 24 600x600 paving slabs to extend the patio. after the wet summer I decided to go one step further and cover the patio in october 08. after some more clearing this year all the heavy work is done and the bushes i cut to ground level are starting to come back. Hope u enjoy the photos and if you have any questions fire away.

Beautifull garden,I think it needs a palm tree. Your patio would look great with some passion flowers or clematis armandii growing up through it ,these plants are evergreen and the clematis has big white fragrent flowers,Your garden is very spanish looking, tropical plants would set the whole thing off.some red cordylines and some bamboo down the sides, and some yuccas in the gravil,

Great use of an outdoor space navan man. The elevation of the seating areas covering works well to shield the houses at the rear. The pots, gravel and bark help reduce the weeding no end, I bet.
