Hi from county Laois,

My wife and I are looking for an allotment near Portlaoise, would anyone know where we might find one? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi MGOKelly and welcome,
This is a huge site and a bit of fun trying to get round. However, There is a google search facility right near the top into which you should put "allotments" and see what is going in other parts of the site. There are allotment specialists on here who know the scene inside out and I am not about to steal their thunder. Over here in merrie England , SOME people have got a 'lend' of someone else's garden sometimes with the proviso that the owner gets a share of the produce.
It might be a way to try esp. in Portlaoise. There's an awful lot of town gardens in P'laoise. Best of luck with the quest.
