Hi all I've just got a plastic greehouse but I can't see how it will withstand the Irish weather. It came with 8 tent pegs to secure it to the ground but as its been quite windy these are coming up already and I'm afraid I can see it lasting. Anyone any other ideas how to secure it to the ground. |

Make a wooden frame at ground level. Drive a stout wooden peg into the ground at each corner, then run a length of timber from peg to peg and fasten the bottom of the polyhouse to the timber.

You could also get rid of the pegs and instead wrap some rope around old paving slab/block at each eyelet and tie the rope of to the peg eyelets. The weight of the slabs will act as a strong anchor. With the rope wrapped arround the slab it is easy to tension the rope to get a firm anchor. |
