Hi everyone, have just found your website and think i will enjoy the company and advice i am going to need!. My husband and i bought 43 acres in Co mayo in 1995 and have spent all this time building a cottage and a main house to live in. It is a heaven on earth place and although we live in the South of England we get over as much as possible. The building work is finished and so now we need to think about the surrounding landscape. There are plenty of mature native trees and areas around the houses that i have some ideas for but the enormity of the job in hand is quite daunting! We call the place 'The Mountain' only because it is...and i want to start with planting a tree lined gravel road which cuts across the land..any ideas? Where should i buy them and other trees such as black poplar? if i dont start soon another year will go by!
Thanks and sorry for the onslaught!

Welcome eileenabbas, you have a big project on your hands. You will get loads of answers to your questions here. I've been around this forum for a while and would suggest for best replies to post your queries in the relevant topics, eg. tree question in the tree topic and so on.
I look forward to having another lady of the soil around. |
