Hope I'm in the right place with this.
I love cheese, just can't get enough and thought about trying to make my own. Anyone out there cheese making? If so, would you be willing to spill the beans (sorry) on how, also where one could get items for such? I'd be indebted for ever more.
Bill.

Liparis,
When I last lived in Ireland (2000) I used to get Ballycumber cheese directly from Bell-Air house which was not a million miles from Doon. Knowing the size and shape of your county, you might be in striking distance of Tullamore? It looks like they have a shop in the town or else a shop sells their cheeses.

Try this link:- http://www.locallink.ie/view.php?i=108369

The Ballycumber was to die for, especially with white port.

Ye, I found a cheese maker up past Belturbet on the N3 wonderful cheeses, best I've had in many a moon, if I haven't gone and lost their email address!! I found them at a garden festival out by Mullingar last summer. I will probably find it again soon. I just thought it would be fun to make some myself as well, just to quiet that itch I've got LOL
Bill.

Cheers walltoall, that's the one. THeir sheeps heese was second to none, but I don't see it on their list, maybe later in the year. Their goats cheese is also great.
Bill.
