We are a young Canadian couple looking for a solid 'Organic Gardening' and 'Living-Working' experience over this next year. Currently, we are in Kinsale, Co. Cork in a college course called "Permaculture & Practical Sustainability". We've gone through the first year which has covered quite a bit of Organic Gardening, Green Building, Aquaculture, Soil Science, Water systems, Forest Gardens, Ecology, Current Political-Energy Issues, Community leadership, Landscape design, and so on. Now we are looking to spend the next year putting our knowledge into practice.
Daniel is a builder, woodworker, and su-chef. He is very practical and willing to build on old, and develop new skills. He is also currently taking a Market Gardening course (with a man named Jim Cronan in Co. Clair). Luna is studying Natural Health Sciences to become a Natural Health Practitioner. She is a passionate whole/raw-foods chef. (good to have around a kitchen).
We are both hard workers and very passionate about making a life out of Self Sufficient practices. We are very flexible and reliable. Ideally, we are looking for Gardening & Farm experience, Board, and a little Pocket money at the end of each week. But we are open to whatever you are comfortable offering. If a farm/job suits our interests, we are available to re-locate for the whole growing season.
Please let us know if you think we may be a good contribution to you and your land.
Thank you kindly,
Daniel & Luna |
