Hi, I am looking to plant some apple trees, would anybody have any tips on this regarding type, planting, and where to buy.

You should garner a lot of knowledge from this article SG How to Plant an Apple Tree in Ireland + Variety Selection. Let me know what you think.
Irish seedsavers based in Clare will be able to supply you with the rarer ad old Irish apple tree varieties. But your regular orange pippens, brambleys etc can be purchased in all good garden centres.

Thank's very much for replies. That article on planting apple trees is very good. After reading that I can go to seed savers and know what I'm looking for. Both replies have being very helpful.
