I was thinking about extending my veg plot. I'm thinking about using a space that I previously used for a childs pool. I dug it out and put sand in to level it off for the pool. I have moved alot of the sand off but its still pretty sandy I was thinking of using this space for my corn. I have a good amount of compost. Will this balance the sand? I dont want to waste the compost .

Should do. I mean really how much could there be left that would do damage even though you dug your compost in. Just to be sure get your hands on some extra compost and dig it in. Wink
Still worried, then you could instead plant your carrots in that spot. They dont mind a bit of sand.
