Now that I have learnt how to add photos to my posts, I would like to know what this flower is: probably something very obvious, but I don't even know if it is a perennial or an annual (I rarely grow annuals, so am not familiar with them)
This was growing in Mount Usher late last summer, and was most eye-catching.

Looks like Cosmos Sive.

They are an annual plant, so buy a pack or two of the seed and sow directly into the soil in May.
Easy enough to grow. Wink

Thanks for that, GPI...as I said, I am quite ignorant about annuals! However, why did I think of Cosmos as pink flowers? Is the orange version less common?
I will certainly buy some seed and try it out this year. What a lovely thought as we are battered by wind and rain this Sunday afternoon!
