John H
I recently got a lorry-load (approx 16 ton) of excellent veg-growing top-soil (loamy and a bit of sand mixed in) for less than 300 euro.
Also, I have made raised beds with 2x2 pegs and 5x1 boards (rough un-treated) very cheaply. The same guy gets the top-soil and timber.
PM me if you are interested and I'll send you contact info.

linseed oil is a good wood preservative as the oil soaks into the wood this will stop water being absorbed . the wood will last longer without nasty chemicals

“Envirogrind based in Pettigo specialise in quality topsoil and fertiliser.

The company makes topsoil and soil feed.

They charge about €25 per cubic metre of topsoil, which is good value for money. It goes through a turning process, which heats the soil up to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This kills off all of the weed seeds and soil born diseases.

Delivery is expensive so it would be better to collect yourself if you have a large trailer. Failing that you could club together with other gardeners to get it delivered. The factory is open to public groups such as school visits
