| i got a kit with venus fly trap and pitcher plant (sarracenia) seeds for christmas - the instructions given are for growing them indoors - but i have a spot i could put them in outdoors. i assume they'd take an irish summer fine, but are they hardy in an irish winter? or are they annuals? |

| I presume you would have to germinate them indoors initially then you could possibly move them outdoors. I dont think the venus fly trap is an annual, more a subshrub for bog gardens. |

Hi
I think the Sarracenia will be OK, but the venus fly trap will not survive our cold winters as they like it moist, hot and steamy
