Save up to £20 a week on grocery bills by growing your own.

A County Armagh family has embraced the good life - and is saving up to £20 a week on grocery bills as a result.

The Morgans are one of 11 families in Cullaville who are making huge savings after taking up the Community Eco Challenge set by green group WWF and learning how to grow their own fruit and veg.

Classroom assistant Mary Morgan said it was her husband Seamus and his Men Aware group that became interested in growing your own and the rest of their families then followed suit.

"We grow lettuce, carrots, beetroots, turnips, strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, peas, broad beans and cabbage. We have fresh vegetables every evening. At the minute I am saving up to £20 a week and hoping to keep it growing all winter. It's great - at the minute it's a massive saving."
