This is my first post, first of many i hope. I took control of my garden 3 years ago after we built our house in the country on the Cork-Waterford border.
I put down 3/4 acre of lawn bought the ride on and thought that would be my gardening lot.
After a year i decided to put in a raised border so i did that, got great pleasure from that so started putting a few shrubs around the garden. Then hanging baskets went up and got some large planters. Then i dug out an area 10*10 meters put in a patio a journey path and built a pergola. Now i putting in borders all over and am watching gardeners world every Friday night and gleaming any info i can from books and websites. Taking cuttings and growing
all sorts of things and thinking of water features and tackling vegetables.
As you can see gardening has drawn me in and got a grip on me and im enjoying it no end. That's it for now Thanks for reading my post. _________________ Ive wasted my life

Thanks for hello Sandra12
That avatar just came from an avatar site I Googled and it has no special significance other than i thought it looked good.
Since i posted the welcome call ive since been able to post a question in fruit and veg and weeds and pests including photos no less. So im delighted with myself and my computer skills at the moment, hopefully with a bit more time the garden skills will come on a bit too.
Thanks again Sandra12 _________________ Ive wasted my life

It's an American Robin from the thrush family Its zoolological name is something like turdus migratoriae and it is a close relative of our 'blackbird' very distant cousin of the redbreast! _________________ Retired trouble-maker twitters@walltoall makes ends meet by burning candles at both ends. |
