Hello everyone,

I started an allotment this year growing vegetables - my kind sister let me loose on a corner of her 3 acre garden - and now i want to establish an orchard / fruit cage .

The big problem i have encountered is the limited range of varieties of raspberry canes, strawberry plants, blackcurrant bushes etc available in my local garden centres (Athlone area).

I was in contact with Ken Muir, a UK based fruit nursery but they don't deliver to ireland due to high cost of transport / delivery. (Google Ken Muir, his website is a fantastic information resource for growing all kinds of fruit).

Does anyone have any idea where i can source a wider range of soft fruit in ireland or online with delivery to ireland. In terms of quantity, I had planned on buying about 90 - 100 strawberry plants, 15 - 20 raspberry canes, 6 - 8 blackcurrant bushes.

Thanks.

Thanks for your help everyone.

Future forests have most of the Raspberry, Blackcurrant and Gooseberry varieties i was looking for.

In terms of strawberry varieties, i am looking for Gariguette, Hapil, Chelsea Pensioner, Mara des Bois and Marshmello.

I already have Elsanta, Cambridge favourite and Symphony.
