Hello from sunny Elphin, Co. Roscommon. Gardening on an acre site
outside of Elphin town. Was a field for silage up to two years ago.
Hard work but not doing badly apart from weed attacks from all sides.
Am contemplating a polytunnel so will need lots of advice! am doing an introduction course in the organic centre in Rossinver soon to see if I will be able to manage the tunnel.
cheers

Hi Elpin. We are very near each other. I have a polytunnel and wouldn't be without it.

Welcome to the forum.

All the best.

Sue

Yes, it is an introduction to Polytunnells in the Organis Centre in Rossinver in October. Want to see what it is all about before I dive in. We did grow veggies last year with some success but we didn't set it up properly and it was hard work. But I think the Polytunnel would be easier to manage.?

Hi Sue, how big is your polytunnel? We're not sure how big to go as it is only to feed ourselves (2). Are you an organic grower?

Elphin - the polytunnel is 25ft x 17ft. I tend to use it more for ornamentals but do grow peppers, tomatoes, grapes - all organic. I'll have a go with strawberries in hanging baskets in there next year.

All the best.

Sue
