Can anyone help me out at telling me what type of perennial this is? It looks like a posh dock plant to me. |

| Is anyone else having mad fly issues? This plant seems to attract them and wasps. I worry that if I chuck it they will only find some other plant to hang around. |

I also noticed swarms of wasps over Pesicaria plants recently and it was in a garden packed with many different species. yet the insects seemed attracted only to persicaria I was a bit disappointed, it's a lovely long-flowering plant.
I noticed the same with Eucryphia in Kennedy's arboretum last year. The trees in front of the entrance were completely invaded! |
