Urban Garden, Smithfield Plaza, Dublin. Saturday July 12th.

Join us to create a canvas of blooms on a cobble-stoned landscape. Take part in the gardening workshops, interact with the strolling characters or relax and enjoy the musical entertainment.

Hot food vendors, a picnic area, plant sales, biodiversity workshops and children's entertainers will complete a perfect day out.

So be there and exercise those green fingers. The event runs from 12.00 - 18.00.

12.30pm - 1.15pm Potting Workshops & Gardening
Demonstrations with Peter Donegan.

1.20pm - 1.55pm Bio-diversity Workshops with Mairead Stack

2.00pm - 2.45pm 'Life in Your own Garden' show with Dale Threadwell

2.50pm - 3.25pm Potting Workshops & Gardening Demonstrations.

3.30pm - 4.05pm Biodiversity Workshops

4.10pm - 4.55pm 'Life in Your own Garden'

5.00pm - 5.40pm Potting Workshops & Gardening Demonstrations.

Dublin City Council's Biodiversity Officer, Mairead Stack will also host informative and interactive workshops outlining how we can attract wildlife to our urban spaces and why bats play an important part in preserving the environment.

Workshops are limited to 25 people per session. We would ask people to book their workshop place in advance and bring along a potting container, be it a welly boot, old kettle, or pram!

For more information

Please call Grainne on 01 4089750 to book your workshop place.

"A great example of how a public event at Smithfield can add colour and fun and festivity. More please!!!" - (Urban Garden 2007)
