Could be just that they are ready for harvesting medieval knievel. Were the earlies and when were they harvested? Do a bit of rooting around in the bag to see what the crop is like.

i did in one of the bags last night. got about 2 kilos of very tasty spuds.

. Did you spray for blight at any time or were you growing a blight resistant variety.

didn't spray, don't know if they were blight resistant.
