Hi Everybody, I am simply trying to find out what methods are available to train a rambling rose along a wall. A trellis is not really suitable for what I have in mind so what other methods are there that are less conspicuous.
I remember years ago my father-in-law had these little sort of studs that had a small round see through plastic piece on each and he worked it very well around these. Does anybody know if these are available and where?

These bad boys are the business for growing any heavy climbing plants.



You can run wire through a row or two of them and grow a climber behind or else you can tie the climber directly to them. They are called eye bolts and are often used for hanging signs or washing lines. You do need an hammer action electric drill to put them into concrete walls though.
