If anyone hasn't read today's Irish Times (Sat 17 May) try to get it....there's a wonderful gardening article by Jane Powers in the magazine section.
"You don't own your patch, you just mind it for the creatures who depend on it."
Wouldn't the world be a much better place if we all took that to heart? |

| Kind of ironic that it was in a paper publication. Trees and all that. Good sentiment though. |

| I didn't think of that at all, I must say! But then I put newspapers into my compost, so it's all going back to the earth! Do you ever read her articles? I usually find them very interesting. I think today's just struck a chord with me, as I also believe strongly that we are merely stewards of our gardens, not owners and we should take good care of the patch of ground we happen to live on. |
