Just noticed yesterday that my Strawberry Plants (all in big pots) are covered in White Flies.
Any ideas how I can eradicate these organically, but effectively?
I cut out all the dead foliage (from Winter) a couple of months ago, and there wasn't one of the buggers on them, but now they've infested the plants.
Any help???!???!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hi Tobar,
I use a product called Buzz Off, that is mainly Neem oil I believe. I use it to kill the green fly and it's supposed to be good for fungus too. It is very effective, and efficient in that you only use 1-2ml per litre of water, and then I watch with sadistic glee as they stop moving and in a few minutes you can see loads that have fallen off
I found it in the hydroponic "gardening" section of the "Hemp Shop" on Capel Street in Dublin. Obviously being organic you have to make sure you repeat regularly to stop them coming back. I haven't used it for white fly as I don't have any but it should work. The company that makes it btw is called BioBizz. Good luck.
Warm regards,
Rachael |
