Hi Irish Gardeners.

I've always wondered if the rumor that there are no snakes in Ireland is true?

I butterfly garden in Florida (USA), but I'm a bit Irish because my mom has a medal that my grandfather had from someone up our family tree for contour plowing in Ireland, so some part of me has always considered Ireland home too, and I've always wondered if there was a way to find out where he came from there... suggestions welcome!

Back to my garden, it's been hard to start many new plants the past few years since we've been under water restrictions (my seedlings all die if I can't water them after work), so I've photographed butterflies plants and critters in my yard (and nearby home and work) and played with my virtual garden on my very home made web site: http://butterflies.heuristron.net instead. It's raining right now, and we're getting more winter rain than usual, so I'm very hopeful that they'll ease the restrictions and I'll be able to plant again and water as I please.

Your site is fun, and in my favorites list; I'm looking forward to more browsing on it - thanks:)

Hello Sleepy,I am glad to inform you that the only snakes in Ireland are pet ones.As for your grandfathers medal,my son also has medals for ploughing,we still have it here as a competition.I hope you get enough rain this year for planting. Smile
