Hi All,
Will bulbs generally be able to grow through a bark mulch? or will they be surpressed?
Thanks,
CL |

I agree with bugs there, cl1972.
Ensure the depth of the mulch does not exceed 5cm.
For example snowdrops covered with a thick layer of mulch will look very short if they emerge at all. _________________ Remember, a weed is just a plant in the wrong place.

Thanks all.
Thanks for the tip also GPI, I never considered the flower height. Luckily I have larger flowers such as tulips, daffodils, etc. in mind so my deep mulch should be okay. Roll on the autumn for some planting. |
