Bloom 2008 show, Phoenix Park bloom 08 exhibition.
.. ..
Just an early notice to let all you gardeners know that Bloom 2008 will be held in the Phoenix Park from Thursday 29th May until Monday June 2nd.
My sources tell me that preparations for an even bigger and more impressive Bloom 2008 are well under way but until then you can remind yourself of last year's event by clicking on the following link to our discussion on and pictures of Bloom 2007..... Previous Bloom discussion.
I will keep all members of Irishgardeners updated on the Bloom 2008 show as the weeks go by, and I hope to source a few free tickets for a few of you ......... _________________ Remember, a weed is just a plant in the wrong place.

Bloom 2008 – general information
Ireland’s largest annual gardening event takes places from 29th May to 2nd June 2008
Thousands of flowers and plants, Extraordinary gardens, Seminars and Shopping…. One Unmissable Event!
Bloom 2008, Ireland’s largest gardening showcase is set to return from Thursday 29th May to Monday 2nd June inclusive. Bloom is organised and funded by Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board, with responsibility for the promotion and development of Ireland’s horticulture industry. The event takes place in the heart of Dublin in the Phoenix Park and is set to tantalise visitors with an array of new and exciting features to view, sense and savour.
Central to Bloom 2008 will be 30 exquisite show gardens, providing inspirational gardening ideas. Bord Bia promises the event will offer something for everyone including the latest gardening and outdoor products; a selection of Ireland’s finest food and drink and a new interactive health and wellbeing feature. Throughout the weekend there will be family entertainment on offer; free gardening and cookery demonstrations and an arts and crafts exhibition including a retail section and craftsmen at work. This year the nursery and floral display will increase in size and capacity, with more plants available for purchase, and the retail pavilion will have more on offer to meet with consumer demand.
Bord Bia encourages garden enthusiasts to join CLUB BLOOM to receive regular updates and preferential ticket prices. Tickets are now available by calling 0818 300 260 or log on to www.bloominthepark.com
