Hi all,
I've just found this forum and it looks really great. I've lived in the NW of England for the past 12 years (grew up in N Ireland) and have a garden on a hill with lots of levels. I've had this garden for the past 6 years and it's still a work in progress as the previous owners had covered everything in black plastic and bark chippings so that nothing would grow. No shrubs, no perrenials, nothing really so a bit of a blank canvas that I'm slowing filling up. I'm looking forward to getting some new ideas here. I don't get a lot of gardening time - full time work and kids all get in the way - so I like the 'maximum results for minimus effort' approach to gardening'. Happy gardening. |

| Welcome Expat. I would guess you get hard winters which would affect your plants in the NW of England. |
